Requirements

What you'll need.

1

5+ years as a Registered Dental Assistant

Real chairside experience is what makes a great instructor. We're looking for seasoned RDAs.

2

A current, up-to-date Texas RDA license

Your registration must be active and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

3

A state instructor application fee — paid only after we approve you

Texas requires an instructor license and company approval before you can teach. That state fee runs roughly $100–$150, paid directly to the state.

⚠️ You do not pay anything to apply. We review your application, contact you, and interview you first. You only pay the state fee after we've approved you internally.

Questions, answered.

Do I have to pay anything to apply?+

No. Applying is completely free. The only cost is the $100–$150 state instructor fee, and you only pay that after we've reviewed, interviewed, and approved you.

How much does it pay?+

New instructors start at $20/hour, with room to grow as you take on more cohorts and responsibility.

What's the time commitment?+

Each class runs 12 weeks. We ask instructors to commit to at least one full cohort (12 weeks) by contract so students have a consistent teacher start to finish. Beyond that, it's flexible — teach more cohorts or take a break.

What experience do I need?+

At least 5 years as a Registered Dental Assistant and a current, up-to-date Texas RDA license in good standing.

What is the state fee for?+

Texas requires instructors and their school affiliation to be approved by the state. The fee (roughly $100–$150) is paid directly to the state to get your instructor license and company info approved. We'll walk you through it once you're approved on our end.

East Texas needs great RDAs. Great RDAs need great teachers.

If that's you, let's build the best program East Texas has ever seen — together.
